Yoga, San Gimignano, Certaldo, Boccaccio - more "Ohs"

Yesterday we finished our Yoga Retreat - it was inspiring, challenging, instructive and so enjoyable.  It's always interesting to be thrown together with strangers, hear their stories, and find common ground. Just love that. Shaktiprem put together a very good program and definitely in line with my training.

The Viennese Evie, who lives in LA, Irish Jean from Dublin and German born Shaktiprem living and teaching Yoga in Brisbane.  (Oh and the two Aussies)  What a collection.  And all the gals have a birthday in October, whatever that can mean.

We went to San Gimignano - chock full of tourists, and this makes it hard to see the town.  Not complaining as we are also tourists - but, but, but!!! We did manage to find a few quiet spots where
a guy was playing his mandolin and several guitars.  Not all at the same time you understand

Caught the photographer.

And after all that busyness we made our way to Certaldo - another hilltop town where Boccaccio was born.  Much quieter, smaller and just lovely.  Recommend, recommend.  You can park in the town and take the funicular to the top.

Under the pomegranate tree in the Japanese Garden at the Palazzo at the top of the town.

And so farewell Tuscany and Italy.
To Cannes and a bit of French-ness
