Brilliant scenery on the way
We arrived at Jean-Jacques forge and studio. Again the house is hand made and this time I did get a few pics.
And then to lunch (yes another marathon) but not quite as long as the truffle meal.
Auberge du Teillon - Restaurant Gastronomique - also quite famous I believe.
Scallops and just a bit more foie gras!! At this point I was already well fed, but non, non, non one must have ze main course!
I opted for the fish, hoping it would be light on. Hang on Kay, this is France. (Anyone seen the French Film Le Grande Bouffe?)
In fabulous company - Jean-Jacques, Maryse and my beloved.
Then it was off to an unbelievable local golf course where there are many sculptures by Jean-Jacques.
Can't resist being a clown - well it is MY birthday.
And some more sculptures back at their home
On the drive home from the hills
My birthday present
Our last day in Cannes - we walked back home along the waterfront. Which boat is mine??
Is it this one ?
Perhaps this one?
Or one of these ......
But wait there's more - it's this one
Ha ha - you are all invited on my next Mediterranean Cruise
Reality check on the return home - Rhubarb cake and coffee.
I don't quite know what the significance of the banana on a pole is - but I like it.
Next post - the unknown Besancon, near Dijon.
HI love
ReplyDeletegreat to hear your voice
Love all the pics, what about that zoo!?!
And it looks like you had a lovely time at Jaques and Maryes, what a way to spend your birthday!
Pity we can't just get on one of those boats at Cannes!
